Rates at Llyods
#1
Hello Aspirants,

This is the information, which I want to share with you, who are looking for HBTs.

Recently Lloyds are advertising for having openings at their office as well as HBTs.

They don't tell about their rates before you take the test. They give 4 files and later they tell their rates.

If you are ready to work with 50 paisa per line for transcription and 40 paisa for editing, then only take their test, otherwise dont waste your time on their test. This is the rate they offer after your test result.

So, be wise and save your time, if your are not ready to work for this rate, then only contact them.

Thanks Rafi for the information. Ridiculous rate of 50 paisa for HMT will not cover your electricity and broadband cost let aside earn over and above that. There seems to be plenty of MTs south as compared to north where MTs and aspirants are moving away from this low earning very professional work.
Do not ever be taken in or dream of becoming a home-based medical transcriber fresh after training. At least not until you have had 2-3 years full-time office-based experience in multispecialties.

Hi all,

This is not only the case with Lloyds, but with most of the companies this is the case, they don't tell the rates beforehand. First we are asked to take up the test and then the rates are revealed. Even if we inquire the rate before taking up the test, their answer is, "the rate depends on your performance of test files." The rates usually range from 75 paise to 1.00 rs (very rarely!!!) depending upon quality, but 50 paise per line is really a kind of insult to this profession.

My friend also worked for such a company. They told him that they will pay 50 paise initially and then increase up to 80 paise. That 50-paise period is for six months. I don't know how they can tell that they pay 50 paise. 50 paise/line is a lot......low.

50 paise per line is for Edited lines (on DocQscribe/Escription platform) where the lines need to be proofed by a QA. For off proofing edited lines we pay Rs 1 per line. Hope this clarifies the doubt of all. Thanks
Also for manual transcription the rate is Rs 1 for on proof and Rs 2 for off proof.
