Job Title: Medical Scribing Specialist

Department / Division:Medical Scribing Department

CAREER GROWTH

1. Baseline Scribe Training: This is a period where a candidate after clearing the screening test undergoes a detailed training program.
   
   
2. OJT: On the Job Training. After a scribe graduates from training, they begin OJT, which consists of shadowing and creating notes on defined provider(s).
   
   
3. Doctor Ready: Once an OJT starts creating charts into the E-HR directly and her/his average scores on the last 10 charts are 45+ out of 50 with no critical errors, s/he will handle the assigned doctor’s workflow independently without any assistance from the implementation manager or the quality supervisor.
   
   
4. Steady State Primary: This is a stage where the Medical Specialist has spent a minimum of 12 weeks as a Doctor Ready Medical Specialist who independently handles his/her primary physician with satisfactory feedback from the physician and the QA group.
   
   
5. Furthermore, based on performance the employee will have the opportunity to be qualified as Executive Medical Specialist, Ace Executive Medical Specialist, etc., Super MS and implementation manager.
   

Purpose of the Job:The purpose of this position is to handle medical data documentation responsibilities for physicians during patient encounters. Medical Assistant access live doctor-patient interactions remotely and accurately document the events and decision-making in a manner that results in appropriate medical charting. 
By accomplishing the time-consuming clerical duties that would otherwise be assigned to a physician, Scribes enable physicians to spend more time with individual patients and increase the overall flow of patients in the department.

Principal Tasks and Responsibilities: 
The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

• Accurate and timely charting of patient encounters, including but not limited to patient history, physical exam, diagnostic findings, lab and test results, Medical decision making, etc.
  
  
• Interact with the physician in a professional and non-intrusive way to ensure completeness and accuracy in medical charting. 
  
  
• Compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and policies relating to confidentiality of patient information.
  
  
• Excellent job attendance.
  
  
• Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to training other Medical assistants and staff.

The moolah offered is Indian Dollars 35,000 to 55,000 per month, free transportation, working for only 5 days a week. 8 hours a day, night shits only (USA timing)..Experience in medical transcription, coding, billing, etc. given weightage.

If you did not understand most of the jargon above, please continue rotting at your respective miserable labor jobs earning peanuts.  I did not understand some of the fancy-pants language either so hopefully I will continue to be exploited.

What I did dimly comprehend is that a lot of money is being shelled out for being a slave and/or encounter specialist. They apparently want the doctor serviced, the nurses serviced, throw in attending to patients, keep the insurance company happy by simply refusing all help to needy patients, (at least I think that is what insurance companies do, could be wrong) uhhhh..be good in medical gaalis but to do so in code, arrange for "encounters" with difficult patients keeping doctors informed about it remotely, of course, and then train others to do what you would love to do, whenever you feel extra vicious about getting the same f*ucking wages you have been getting the last 20 years or so and sc*ewed at work for that too.

I would be most anxious to know if there is such a "specialist" who could throw light on the above.  I am sure fellow sufferers would like to know if we can all leave medical transcription in its present blood-sucking form and go for the above.   I would be the first to jump.  Hopefully, they will give an advance first and see my "skills" afterwards.
