There has been instances of members having approached me and getting appointed by the company to which I referred and having not reported to duty after getting appointed (from the very first day) or even not responding to phone calls. This prevents me from referring further candidates.

I request those irresponsible MTs to think twice before doing anything through this Forum, which eventually will rob others opportunity too.

I request admin to remove those erring MTs from the list of its members to maintain its decorum (if at all brought to its notice).

As a matter of fact, one member who got recently appointed as HBT refuses to answer calls and avoids giving explanations why he is not working or not willing to work.

Please suggest ways to prevent such instances in future.

It is very bad to hear. They should not do like that. MT Forum has a good reputation in sourcing the candidates. Lot of companies are posting here to get the right candidates.

I think you should post their IDs in your post and ask for explanation. I would like you to wait for suggestions from other forum members before doing it.
MT Forum is the India's largest Medical Transcriptionists Community.  Proud to be a member of it and let your colleagues know about it.

There may be many reasons... It should be noted that though US has been through recession, there is still a lot of work being outsourced and a lot companies around, so if the MT is not satisfied, he jumps to another company, but it should also be noted that all MTs want stability and they will stick to a company which is proper at giving salary on time, good work ethics, proper and well-mannered communication etiquette (I left a company some years back because they were very rude and ill-mannered in their communication with me) , transparency about line count calculation and rate per line. I dont think any MT will jump out if he is happy with the company and the company keeps him in good humor. In fact the company where I am presently working for about 4 years does not mind crediting up to Rs. 7000 extra a month apart from the salary, as a loan when I have financial emergency, which I may repay in installments of Rs. 1000 per month. I am not saying this should be a rule, but gestures like this go a long way in instilling royalty, and there are some companies who do not pay MTs for 2-3 months.
